Mindfulness classes have remained popular among employees, providing many with tools to navigate the stress and uncertainty of the pandemic. Last year, Balanced You worked with Mindfulness Northwest to develop a series of free mindfulness videos for King County employees. We are excited to share new uploaded videos to practice mindfulness wherever you are.
What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the ability to be aware of what is happening in your head at any given moment without getting carried away by it. Practicing mindfulness can reduce stress at work and at home.
How do I access and use the videos?
Click here to access the mindfulness videos.
The five videos, ranging from two to 14 minutes, are available on-demand so you can practice mindfulness any time that fits your schedule. The videos will teach you how simple breathing techniques, practicing gratitude, and letting go of that which is outside your control can help you stay more centered and less stressed during this pandemic.
Try watching one of the videos before or after work, or during a break. Or, integrate the videos into team meetings, whether virtual or in-person.
