*About Karin: In 2010, when research came out about how sitting a lot is worse than smoking for your health, Karin Collinsworth, an IT Analyst in KCIT, decided that she wanted to help to improve the well-being of her colleagues. She had been studying yoga since 1992 began by volunteering twice per week. She still leads classes here in Chinook, and encourages others to show up, get involved, or volunteer!

*About Trisha: Trisha Roth, a Contract Specialist in Executive Services, is RYT certified. She is inspired by teachers, peers, students and her own personal experience. Certified in 2016 as a 200-hour RYT, Trisha’s yoga journey is one of self-exploration. Learning to accept her own physical injuries and limitations on and off the mat. Yoga helps to reduce and quiet “fluctuations of the mind” of which we all suffer and provides calm in a world of change. Trisha’s yoga style varies depending on the needs of the class on a given day. Catering to a mixed level yoga class is always a challenge, but working with gentle warmups, gentle Vinyasa flow, and cool down is her usual approach. Her spirit is entering this journey of teaching yoga with gratitude, compassion, and a desire to share this beautiful practice with the world.

    1. Hi. Just come in comfortable clothing (there is a changing room with temporary lockers available.) There are mats, straps, and blocks for folks to use in the Chinook Activity Center exercise room. -Karin
