Stronger minds, healthier lives: Mental Health Month webinars and classes

May is Mental Health Month—a time to raise awareness, break the stigma, and prioritize mental health. It’s an opportunity to reflect on the importance of mental health in every part of our lives, from our relationships and work to how we manage stress and care for ourselves and loved ones. This month encourages open conversations, access to helpful resources, and support for one another. Whether through mindfulness, movement, or meaningful connection, Mental Health Month reminds us that taking care of our minds is just as vital as caring for our bodies.

Balanced You offers a range of webinars that explore various aspects of mental health. See the list of webinars below that are part of Mental Health Month.

Making Life Easier Presents: Coping with Cumulative Trauma

A person does not have to be the victim of an extreme event to experience trauma. When a person’s sense of safety and security is impacted, there is potential for a trauma response. In addition, when a person experiences trauma within multiple contexts, the impact is exponentially powerful. This presentation will help attendees recognize possible reactions to distressing events. In addition, attendees will learn what self-care is, learn grounding methods to combat traumatic events and recognize the different effort levels of self-care techniques and how to apply them.
