Colder weather can affect blood pressure and heart health, but small adjustments can make a big difference. With Omada, you’ll connect with a virtual health coach for guidance and receive supportive tools delivered to your home to help you manage your heart health–and reduce your risk of developing diabetes — no matter the season.
Try these heart-healthy habits this fall:
- Reduce sodium intake by choosing fresh, whole foods
- Get regular movement, even if it’s just a short walk
- Practice deep breathing or mindfulness to manage stress
The Omada Diabetes Prevention Program is open to King County employees and insurance dependents who are enrolled in a King County health plan (Kaiser Permanente or Regence* plans), are age 18 or older, and at risk for developing diabetes.
Employees and their insurance dependents aged 18+ who have type 2 diabetes and are enrolled in Regence* health plans also may receive the Omada Diabetes Management Program.
To see if you qualify, visit the King County Omada website and take the two-minute health questionnaire.
