MSA Money Coaching: Just a call away

Person talking on the phone while looking at finances.

Money stress can impact mental health. And when it comes to money, searching for answers can feel overwhelming. As such, Balanced You partners with My Secure Advantage (MSA) to provide King County employees with a complete financial well-being benefit free-of-charge, including access to Money Coaches who can help you build a stronger and more secure future.

What should I know about working with a Money Coach?

Think of your Money Coach as your go-to finance professional for educational guidance, your accountability partner, and chief motivator. Together, you can create a realistic action plan that embodies your values and priorities. MSA encourages your spouse/partner to join in the conversations, too. Sessions are confidential, over the phone, and half an hour long.

Your dedicated Money Coach gets to know you and your goals. King County employees can meet with a Money Coach for 90 days each year to discuss any financial topic—whether it’s budgeting, improving credit, paying down debt, or maybe you’re curious about retirement planning, buying a home, or investment concepts. Whatever your focus, MSA can help.

Your MSA benefit is paid for by King County. MSA’s Money Coaches don’t work on commission and don’t sell products. They provide unbiased, judgment-free support.

To access MSA services, visit the MSA website and click “get started” to open an account and enroll in the free Money Coach services, webinars, and more. When asked for your Employee ID, enter your PeopleSoft number.

If you would like to bypass the website and call MSA directly to schedule an appointment with a Money Coach, call 888-874-7290.
