Grief Support Resources for King County Employees

Balanced You, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and KC Metro Wellness are partnering for a Well-being and Belonging event on Monday, August 30 to commemorate National Grief Awareness Day.

Grief Support Resources

Grieving is never easy. During times of COVID-19, grief can seem even more complex. Our ways of honoring and witnessing each other may have changed. The feelings that we may feel – sadness, anger, fear, love – may be even more painful, confusing, or isolating. Now more than ever, it’s important to connect to each other and offer support when needed. As we approach National Grief Awareness Day on August 30, 2021, Balanced You would like to share a few resources to consider, whether you’re looking to support yourself or loved ones. On-demand Webinar: Coping with Grief and Loss

Watch a recorded webinar with Balanced You, King County Metro Wellness and EAP that focuses on the grief and loss many of our frontline employees have experienced during the pandemic. Learn how grief doesn’t just pertain to a death but also can be the loss of connection, relationships, work and more. In addition, learn about cultural differences in how grief and loss are processed and what you can do to support your colleagues who may have different experiences than you. Resources for employees will also be shared. The recorded webinar will be available August 30 at kcbalancedyou.com and kingcounty.gov/balancedyou.
