King County Employee Flu Clinics 2017 – It’s a wrap!

Over the past two months, the Employee Health & Well-Being team hosted flu clinics at numerous worksites across the County. In the end, 31 clinics serviced more than 3,600 employees. Thank you to all employees who participated in the flu clinics!

The clinics were made possible with the help of several employees who volunteered their time to coordinate the clinics at their worksites. A special thanks to the coordinators and all employees who provided support throughout the program.

We appreciate the feedback from employees that not only validates the services we provide to support your health, but also helps future planning efforts. Here’s a sampling of what we heard from employees:

While the CDC recommends that individuals age 6 months or older receive their flu shot, there are many additional ways to boost your immunity this season. Good health habits, such as covering your cough and washing your hands often, can help stop the spread of germs and may help protect you against the flu. Check out other CDC suggestions for improved immunity!

Thank you again to those who participated and supported this year’s clinics, helping to create a healthier workplace. We will continue to do our best to support employees in their health and well-being and ensure that you have more access to these offerings. If you have additional thoughts or feedback, please share them with us!
